Validate against Australian Driver's License Number

Has anyone ever done a validation against an Aussie driver's licence number?

I know there are some format differences between states but not really sure what exactly.

Yep I found this one as well but i'm just wondering if anybody here actually did this before can confirm are these rules correct?

There may be a checksum or similar in the licence id also, not sure how you
can find out, probably not something they want to give out.
