Just wondering if anyone has expired this and/or knows what the cause might be.

I have several scheduled tasks on CFMX7 Ent that stopped running on 31/10/2007.
If I click the run button from CF admin they give me the following error:

There was an error running your scheduled task. Reasons for which scheduled tasks might fail include:

  • The URL is a redirection URL.
  • The URL is protected by IIS NT Challenge/Response or Apache .htaccess password. The Username and Password text fields for editing a scheduled task are intended to support Basic Authentication only.
  • The Domain Name lookup failed. Try using the IP address of the domain whenever possible.
  • The URL is an SSL site, but the SSL port was specified incorrectly.
  • The Web site is not responding.
  • The directory specified for published results does not exist.
When I create a new task for another file in the same directory, it works.. If I copy and paste the urls from the tasks that do not work into a browser and run it, it works... Very strange indeed.

I know that there were some issues with the logon under the cf services that day, but to me that still doesn't explain why another task in the same directory works and the others don't..
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.. As a matter of fact, I'll give away 6 months free listing on www.clickfind.com.au (launching the 1st) for the answer!

OK, this gets weirder and weirder...

I created a new scheduled task with same attributes as before, only added the number 2 to the name of the task. Same error.
Then I added a new task to only run once, it worked... I then changed it to run as it was before, and now that task seems to run...

Doing the others now and see what I get....

Got it! If anyone is interested...

The logon changed for the cf service, this logon was not on the existing output files, and thus had no access to it. Once I created the new tasks with a different file name for output, it actually put the new logon on the files...
Yeahhhhh, 9 hours of research work!!!
