What's out there in the way of a CMS in ColdFusion.  Not sure if products like FarCry as still being developed.

I believe FarCry is still actively being developed - the latest version is 7. It is more than CMS, rather an application development framework.

Another option is Mura CMS. Both are great solutions.

There is no contest in terms of feature set and product maturity; FarCry wins hands down.

One competitive advantage for ContentBox is the use of the ColdBox framework (http://www.ortussolutions.com/products/coldbox), but if that's important to the decision one would be better off looking to Preside CMS (https://www.presidecms.com/) <-- caveat lucee cfml engine only.

I do mainly JS these days, but if I had to choose, I'd choose in this order
PresideCMS (coldbox, Alex and Dom and team are doing a great job, product looks great and code is clean and script based)
Contentbox (coldbox also and Luis is heavy invested in CF)
Farcry (I'm not familiar with its code base but its been around a long time and actively developed)
Mura (solid, been around a long time, but I've seen the code base and not a fan)

FarCry is still very active. If you look in GitHub at the p720 and p730 branches there are updates every couple of days.

 

Just note that FarCry core is now a development framework - you will also need to grab the FarCry CMS plugin. 

 

If your new to FarCry best option would be to grab one of the bundles from http://www.farcrycore.org/downloads
