I am not able to find this case in manual and log file given no useful information (release version 7.1.2, revision ...., compilation date)
I look at  input data and smoke view model and all compartments, doors, windows, ceiling vents are consistent with my design-model.
CFAST runs as I remove two doors ..... but I need to put other doors and ceiling_vents.
Seem to me that I reach some software limit ..... but there is no warning also during edit of model with Cedit, and there is no running error or crash.
I have 37 comp., 44 Doors-Windows, 13 ceil. vents, 0 MV connectts, no forced ventilation.
If I understand correctly cap. 13 of User's Guide v.7 I am within software limits.
Something can give me some idea for checking and solving ?

Thank you

If you share the input file, we can see what's causing this.

Thank you for helping. I am attaching my file.
Now model can run. Problem was given by windows on compartments 27-28-29-30-31 placed on the REAR instead on the FRONT. I used windows dimensions almost the same as walls and this prevented me to see where was the windows.

Actually I'm not able to put detectors because CFAST says "error, detector out of compartment" .... but x,y,z are inside compartment. I try only in C6 that is fire compartement.
User Manual, also in 7.2 version, in cap. 4-introduction says that maximum number of compartments, for version 7, is thirty; this is true ?

Other question.
I try to use compartments with cross-sectional area variable with height but I had always error. Can you send me or publish some rows of file "example.in" with one compartment having rectangular floor and tilted roof ?
Thank you

I don't think the vent errors were coming from the placement of the vents.  The placement on a particular wall face is only used for visualization in smokeview and is not used in the CFAST calculation.  There were a number of errors in the input file where a vent was being told to open based on temperature, but there was not associated target from which to take the temperature.  CFAST should have provided an error message and not run in the first place.  We'll fix that in an upcoming release.  I've attached a corrected input file.

The detector error is a bug that only shows up in a case with a large number of compartments.  It's been fixed and we'll release a bug fix release shortly.

The software should be able to handle 100 compartments in version 7.2.  I'll check the documentation.

Thank you for fix my errors.
The file Test.in give the previous detector error : "..... detector out of compartment" but x,y,z are inside compartment.
This is the row:
DETECT,SMOKE,6,23.93346,3.5,4.85,2.772,404,0,7E-05
If I remove smoke detector CFAST runs. If I put an Heat detector I have the same error.
I have an esternal model in excel for time of activation of heat detector that gives results near to CFAST but I need CFAST results. Now for running my model with one detector I had to remove some object, for example one vent.

Yes, it will give you and error with CFAST 7.2.0.  We're about to release 7.2.1 that will fix this issue.

Thank you
