I have put the "Greece yield note.pdf on the Group. This is a summary
of the previously loaded Goldman folder and other reports on Greece's
bond yield. Two main issues related to our study:
Feb
2002 - 2005 Goldman (10 - 15 years contract): 15 banks many in USA
$15 billion US and ¥ swap with historical exchange rate of € --> €1
billion off-the-balance sheet payment to Greece
Swap defer interest payment - long term damage 2011 - 2019
April
IMF --> €45 billion, credit card analogy
Debt €300 billion 113% GDP (EU 60%) €13 billion interest per month
S&P 124% 2010, 131% 2011
From which we can see that there are some peaks of debt return in
2011, 2012, and 2019.
We shall need to find out the historical exchange rate of EU and the
forward rates.
