In SAS Anti-Money Laundering, the alert-generation process might fail and you might encounter an error similar to the one below when you create a new scenario or update an existing scenario using the Scenario window:

The error occurs when you use Microsoft SQL Server as the database management system for SAS Anti-Money Laundering. When you create or update a scenario using the Scenario window, the fields in the FSK_SCENARIO table (particularly, the entity_level_code field) are updated with a blank value instead of a null value. Because Microsoft SQL Server handles blank and null values differently, the underlying query in the FCF_GET_ENTITY_INFO macro that is called in the alert-generation process fails.

For Example in the below screenshot, the occurrence of second error is more than 30 times in last 7 days. I want to setup an alert for all those error which are occurring more than say 10 times in last 1 day?

I saw that someone asked something similar before but it was in reference to different data and I couldn't get it to work. Right now I am pulling all the data from windows servers. I would like to set up an alert if the same error (or warning) occurs more than twice in one hour per server. obvious this would not be for informational items etc.

The end goal will be to send these alerts to the helpdesk so that they see that there are continuous errors that are occurring frequently or warnings on a server so that we look at the root cause and resolve.

While attempting to do a custom sort of an EXCEL table of 96,600 + records, I received an error stating "all the merged cells need to be the same size during this operation" Following online help directions for finding merged cells, none were found! (I didn't knowingly create merged cells, but when clicking Options > Format > Alignment, under Text Control, both "Wrap text" and "Merge cells" have their squares filled in with black fill.) The same error occurs when I attempt to sort the field 'editinitl' (A to Z) in the table. The field holds 3-character-long abbreviations of persons name in capital.

To work around this issue, split all the merged cells in the range, or merge all the cells in the range so that the merged cells are the same size. Each merged cell in the range must occupy the same number of rows and columns as the other merged cells in the range.

@pjfloraWhen I try to do this on a Mac, using Office365's Excel, there is no option to find formats. I have an image for this, but Tech Community won't let me upload it. The options on the Find pop up are only "Within:" "Search:" and "Look in:"

In this example, Sentry will only send a notification to PagerDuty if the level is equal to fatal and is seen more than 10 times in an hour-long frequency. In other words, Sentry might register an event being seen as 11 times an hour, but opt not to send an alert because the level was only set to error. Conversely, an event may have a level of fatal, but Sentry has only seen it 9 times, resulting in no notification to PagerDuty.

Which should you use?It ultimately depends on your criteria for a given project or department. As a rule of thumb, it generally makes more sense to use any to dispatch alerts on a more broad level, but all to dispatch rules based on a more narrow configuration. For example, an on-call operations engineer might be more concerned with fatal-level events pouring in over a given time frequency verses other isolated conditions on their own.

The Alert Rules system in Sentry is capable of picking out all sorts of elements that live within an event payload. We call these different elements attributes, and there are 15 different kinds of attributes that a rule can target. Some of the most widely-used attributes are Message, Platform, and Type, but other interesting values include user.id, http.method, or stacktrace.filename

In addition, you can also set up rules that account for multiple different attributes at once, and chain that logic together. In this more advanced example, we can send specific targeted alerts at an Android development team in Slack using the message, platform, and type values. In the below example, a notification gets routed to the Android Dev team in Slack if a RunTimeError with the message Failed to Reload Index comes in from the sentry-java SDK.

In some circumstances, your engineering team may want to be immediately notified of regressions. The An event changes state from resolved to unresolved condition automatically registers the state change in a Sentry issue and dispatches a notification.

Alert Rules are something that your team should periodically evaluate during the remediation phase of any issue. What was true yesterday is not necessarily true tomorrow, and your team may find that they need to adjust rule conditions based on new findings.

I had expring RADIUS certs on a Clearpass server that needed replacing. Upon placing the new CA signed certs (CA cert is on endpoint and selected in wireless profile for server validation) the access tracker started showing reject entries with error code 215. The alert for the request showed.

I suspect this is happening because client sessions are already established using the old cert. But I was not seeing any new accept entries coming through (perhaps no new sessions were being attempted due to the late night change window) so was worried that new clients could not associate.

How can I have the already associated endpoints restart their EAP session so that they get the new certs? Do I need to disassociate all of the users forcefully to make this happen or will it happen after a given period?

I read everything and tried all solutions. Nothing worked. I reset network settings, hard reset the phone, turned messages on and off. Spoke to support at both my carrier and Apple. Frustrated I got looking around settings and noticed one for Phone.

i swapped sims yesterday and it's telling that the sim is no associated with an apple device, it worked yesterday but i removed the number as i am now waiting for my SIM with my old number so i have now tried again - and nothing, same error message over and over, tried a new SIM and it worked but i want to make sure i can use my old number when that sim arrives tomorrow? Any ideas, it's driving me mad

Are you using a prepaid sim, if yes i can solve your problem. I was facing a similar issue since long and it was resolved recently after few upgradation from my own analysis. Let me know if you using a prepaid sim with a monthly fixed plan.

Specifically, my issue was that on the [Settings > #YourName# "Apple ID, iCloud, ..." > "Login and Security"] I could see my AppleID and my phone number, but below the phone number the message "This phone number cannot be used in iMessage and FaceTime...you need a SIM card associated with an Apple device" appeared.

Tried also to change SMSC number provided by network operator using an android phone (on android it works changing it manually), and it works, SMS can be sent from that android phone. But when i put sim back into iphone, the error is still displayed on iphone, no sms and no imessage activation possible.

I followed these instructions: link, and they helped me immensely. It's simply signing out in 'Settings -> Messages' & 'Settings -> FaceTime' on all your devices and then signing in on your iPhone first. After that, the 'Send & Receive' section in 'Settings -> Messages' should display your new phone number above your email (previously, only the email was displayed). I hope this helps you as much as it helped me! ?

This looked promising but even though it allowed me to enter my number and hit the "Save" button, it did not actually save it. Still stuck with the new SIM phone number as apposed to my exsting phone number..... any ideas?

no problem with carrier, as long as using android phone works just fine. But using iphone, sms sending is no longer available. I think it has to do with Sms center number SMSC, which cannot be set manually or eitherways on iphone.

This article will help you stop duplicates appearing in one or several columns in your Excel worksheet. So you can have only unique data in the 1st column of your table be there invoice numbers, stock keeping units, or dates, each mentioned only once.

Excel has Data Validation - one unfairly forgotten tool. With its help you can avoid errors occurring in your records. We will be sure to devote some future articles to this helpful feature. And now, as a warm-up, you will see a simple example of using this option. :)

Suppose, you have a worksheet named "Customers" that includes such columns as Names, Phone numbers, and Emails you use for sending newsletters. Thus all email addresses must be unique. Follow the steps below to avoid sending the same message to one client twice.

  1. If necessary, find and delete all duplicates from the table. You can first highlight the dupes and delete them manually after looking through the values. Or you can remove all duplicates with the help of the Duplicate Remover add-in.
  2. Select the entire column where you need to avoid duplicates. Click on the first cell with data keeping the Shift keyboard button pressed and then select the last cell. Or simply use the combination of Ctrl + Shift + End. It is important to select the 1st data cell first.Note: If your data are in a simple Excel range as opposed to a full-fledged Excel table, you need to select all the cells in your column, even the blank ones, from D2 to D1048576

Here $D:$D are the addresses of the first and the last cells in your column. Please pay attention to the dollar signs that are used to indicate absolute reference. D2 is the address of the first selected cell, it is not an absolute reference.

With the help of this formula Excel counts the number of occurrences of the D2 value in the range D1:D1048576. If it is mentioned just once, then everything is fine. When the same value appears several times, Excel will show an alert message with the text you specify on the "Error alert" tab.
