So I have a few ideas for features for 2.1

* clique list, a list of twitter screen names that lets you filter
messages from that group, would show up under timeline->clique

* some kind of location service update, yahoo fire eagle maybe?

* ability to request 200 older items from friends timeline after
launch if you need to catchup

who else has requests ?

When you say "location service update" ...

If you are talking about GPS Location with Maps ... I really like that one.

Also, as you stated the other day, TwitToday intergration would be nice too!

I'm trying to get used to the new D-Pad Navigation in the new 2.0 release. I keep paging down right now when I want to reply!  Probably would not effect new users but an Setting Options for this might be nice.

* Character countdown from 140 as you type.

* The ability to perform actions in zoom mode.

* Lookup users without following them.

I had other ideas, but they suddenly don't seem to be coming to mind.
Damn age thing again. I'm only 38 (almost 39) and I'd swear
alzheimer's is already kicking in. :)

That's probably because you're used to the previous configuration. :)
New users won't know any better than that left/right does pageup/
pagedown so hopefully they'll learn to use this as natural
behaviour. :)

I like those idea's.

@clique - I probably won't use it at first, I have no need for it now.
But I also didn't need Twitter (and still don't need it) but I do use
it a lot. So I might appreciate it later.

@location - That would be cool, but I tried this on TinyTwitter
recently and it got my location absolutely wrong. The GPS was probably
still thinking that I was in the location I last used it, but I
wasn't. So unless the GPS can tell ceTwit where I am *at that exact
moment*, I have no need for using it. It would mean that I could only
post updates if I've traveled to that location using TomTom!

@200 older items - YES!!! I never counted how many SMS come in during
the night but I guess that if I start ceTwit in the morning and I can
read the last 200 tweets, I'll get a long way there.

Hmm for me the character is counting down when I type and I can do
actions in Zoom mode (just press-and-hold the Right D-Pad key).

I agree that looking up users that I don't follow would be cool.

I do. :)

I believe I've said this before but I'd prefer to have notification
settings in the normal Sounds and Notifications panel from Start >
Settings. It would give me more options like LED notifications and on-
screen messages. I do realize that this is probably more difficult
than the current implementation, and maybe it would also be hard to do
this if we can have notifications for DM/replies only.

Move the Refresh Rate setting to the left so that it aligns with other
options. I understand that a small indent means that it's a
"subsetting" but the refresh interval is a subsetting of the "Auto
Refresh" setting, it has nothing to do with "Connect on Start".

Does search.twitter.com have an API? I mean - would it be possible to
use ceTwit to search for something? It would be awesome if I can enter
a search term and view the latest 20 tweets with that word that
appeared on the public timeline.

Would it be possible to view the profile inside ceTwit? The mobile
website doesn´t show everything. I'd like to know:
Name
Location
Web
Bio
Following
Followers
Favorites
Updates

I think the smartphone version is missing the countdown I'll add that for sure.

I really want to do this but I couldn't find any information on how to
accomplish it. Does anyone have a pointer to an article or
information oh how to interface with the normal notifications control
panel item?

Added a features requests page to capture things out of this thread
into an easier to read list

I'd love to help you but I'm no developer, so all I can do is just
google, like you might have done as well.

Would something like this help?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb154491.aspx

Really it's just like asking me to point out where in France the best
wine comes from, I would be making totally uninformed and random
guesses...
I hope you find information that can help you with this!

Two more links. As said, I just randomly searched (well I knew how to
find msdn and just searched for "windows mobile alerts" and "windows
mobile notifications".

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158800.aspx

I'll stop searching now, I feel like I'm flooding the discussion with
my replies. :)

Neither feature is currently available for smartphone at this time,
which is what I use.

Can the Menu be customized on a per user basis so we can add our own
frequently used commands? I'd personally add "reply" and "open link"
if I could. Going to actions every time works, but I'd save the
clicks if possible.
