Is anyone noticing their battery running down a lot quicker since the
last upgrade?
I'm not even making it 10 hours with ceTwit running and updating every
4 mintues or so.
I dont remember the battery being that quick to run down before.

Thanks

Yes! I thought it must be just me, but I have noticed it.

Each time ceTwit refreshes it pulls about 60kbytes of data plus any
avatars that you may need to download if your using avatars. I
haven't changed anything around battery usage that I can think of but
the merged timeline does pull 3 data loads instead of one. It's been
this way since the 2.0 version.

I'll do some checking to see if I changed anything that effected
battery life in any recent updates.

Thanks for looking into Vince. If it wasn't that noticeable I'd never mention it. I'll turn it on and set the refresh to a lot less often and see how much that effects the battery.

I think this is from the change over to reading the avatars from flash
rather than memory. It ends up being a performance increase but uses
lots more battery. I'm going to revert that out of the next dev
build.

Great! When's the next build due?

I 2nd that. I've not installed ceTwit since my upgrade to 6.1 yet. Thought I'd wait for a couple more kinks. I'm using BJ II so I'll see how it goes with the next build.
