just tried it. worked for me. have to download and install dvd fab 3.9 then download the loader. extract it. run it. it will create a file called dvdfabldr on the desktop. double click on it and dvd fab will run. fully activated. i havent tried copying anything with it though.
i just tried it with that same patch. remove/delete the old dvdfab ldr file. then install the new dvd fab. then run the patch installer again, run dvd fab from that file and dvd fab runs and is fully activated. i have not tried using it though.
to use latest version, simply download this , using google chrome.
then goto dvdfab and download free trial and install
then install patch.
then click on loader to start dvdfab
latest version 11.0.4.2 works perfect take less than a minuete to do
I further tested on another machine and French Can your tool worked fine. Now whats the issue with my main machine? I uninstalled the old dvdfab before trying this several times. I even rebooted just to be sure. Is it not uninstalling cleanly? Any help would be great.
Ok I finally figured out my issue and it was the same issue I had a while back at this post. It seems powershell and wmic was missing in my environmental location and the activator would fail with errors. The window of the activator switches to successful regardless of this and too fast for me to see it was errors. I fix that and now it works properly. Thanks French.
When I use the activator again and change the hosts file again, everything is fine. I have the impression that after a longer time something of the trial period still starts to work... if you install a newer version (update) every 10 days, then that time is too short and you don't have that problem. Even if I set the PC clock forward 2 months and start up DVDFab, and then reset the PC clock correctly, I have the same thing; I then have to use the activator again, but that's okay.
You can avoid to reapply the activator every time you install a new version just renaming the file: "C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab\DVDFab12\regRecord\localuse12086.rec" according to the installed DVDFab version.
