23rd Jan. DOB of TJ aka Thomas Joseph aka Soman aka thin/thick thoma!!

Sadhiom,

‘Mannavendra Vilangunnu,

Chandrane Pole, NInmukham’.

 

65 years ago, a mother gave birth to a child,

Looking at the cute face of the infant, she sang,

‘ En makane Vilangunnu,

Chadrane Pole , Ninmukham,

Ninne jnan, ‘Soman’ ennu peru

Cholli Kooppiduven’.

 

That boy is none other than our TJ.

Last year, I displayed the original B&W and the morphed color photos of that infant TJ.

 

During CET days, among the thin guys like RS, KT, Vandi, Bijoy Da,Kurian et al, TJ was the thinnest. Decades, have passed, as I observed at G2G07, the thin guys became thick and the thick guys became thin.

 

Some such thick guys confess for their gluttony and lethargy in doing regular exercise. But this 'Thick Thoma', TJ is an exception. Let me quote his slogans:

 

1. If walking is so good for your health...the postman would be immortal

2. A whale swims all day ,only eats fish & drinks water......but is so fat.

3. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.

4. A turtle doesn’t run, does nothing & lives 450 years

TO HELL WITH EXCERCISE !!

Oh, God, forgive him for his ignorance and grant him many many happy returns of his birth day.

My Dear Pals,

It will be an under estimate if I say 'Chandichan works like a
clock'. He really works like a multi-faceted multi-alarm clock. He
raises white, red & black flags promptly for every DOB, DOM & DOD in
his list! No doubt, at this age giver and receiver equally enjoy the
exchange of the greetings more than chocolates, cakes or presents!

You really exaggerated the story of sun shine on my face which said
my mummy saw! You know my mom passed away almost 45 years back. But
even if she were alive now she could have not seen the sun shine on
me. But, I bet, your mom can see the sun shine or moon shine on you
depending on when and where you stand! Now, joke apart - you really
reminded me a lot about my mummy when I read your posting. She was a
very good teacher. While teaching ALANKARAMs,VRUTTUMs, etc.,
"Mannavendra Vilangunnoo Chandranepole nin mukham" was the example for
UPAMA. If some one happens to say it differently - something like -
"Lord, after seeing you I wonder if the full moon from above came
down" it is ULPREKSHA! (Athu thaan alloyo ithum, Ennu Varnyaththil
Assanka, Ulpreksha athaayidum....) Potti should take over from me the
rest! Anyway, I recalled a lot of such stuff from my mom's "school
days"! Thanks JSC!

BJP is always prompt to wish everyone the moment Chandy's flag is up

You are welcome any time....Matter of 10hrs travel by road. If it is in April, you get something called 'URAAK'., ie first distillation from fresh cashew fruits....FANTASTIC drink...It is to be taken in quarters...But care has to be taken not to expose oneself in beach breeze after the drink or else, you will be flat. We are directed by Gathy , But with Mathy ( Applying your intelligence ) one can overcome Gathy - so you go for education and your knowledge grows. But unfortunately at a stage you are get into vyavaharam ( day to day life with ups and downs ) and get married 

( sathy or chathy ). The growth of your intelligence ends there because of the consequenses of getting married. So, dear friend, as I have further commitments for the time being, I am afraid, whether I can brush up the vyakaranam in the near future. If I go in search of Gnanam now, I may not get my annam.
