Dear All
A booking has been made in Kumarakom on the 17th of Dec 2011 for our
meeting. .The venue is the annexe of Kottayam Club at Kumarakom. No
details have been worked out, informing the date so that travel
arrangements can be made in advance.

I appreciate your bold step.
However, I am skeptical about the break even Number of at least 40 members.
Even at Kochi, the core group could attract just 20 members out of kochi and 3 locals
didn't participate. AKN is the only KTM guy. He too was skeptical. At Kochi, there were 10 core committee members. For g2gktm, it 'ld be a one man effort by KT about 50 KM from
Kumarakam. To and fro pick up from KTM Railway stn to Kumarakam of about 12 -15 km is
must.
Let us go for a head count before the middle of this month. All might not respond thru' email
Let us get the count of TVM guys from AKR/Kutty and EKM guys from Suseelan/MAA. If so I shall get the head count from Chennai. Plz. give a gestimate of the cost per head.I hope it make sense, before proceeding further.

I am of the opinion that we should go ahead with Muthalali's. We are
meeting once in 2 years. How many more sessions we will be able to
attend these functions, none knows. We changed the date from Nov
second Saturday to accommodate the regular CET TVM meeting. I
genuinely feel Dec 17 is good date good weather, no rains and happy
time in Kerala. Towards last week of Dec and Jan there will be big
travel rush due to Christmas, New Year, Makaravilakku, Sabarimala
visit, etc. I am really game for it because I can prefix the Kumarkam
celebration if I want to stay further. We had decided Kottayam-
Kumarakom as this year's venue when we met last. Why change it now at
all? Munnar will be very cold for many of us - buddas! So please do
not change! People genuinely interested will join whether Kochi, KTM
or TVM and only if one is interested. Others won't! If TVM people feel
Kumarakom is far, just consider others who try to make - like Sushil
Kumar, Mohan, Avaran, Annamma, Kayani, etc who try to join the crowd.

interactive and friendly. May be you can restrict the guests to only
spouses. Also if there is stag party or separate get together by only
a group, let them have it at their expenses. Last time I recall there
were many comments about spending from the common funds for the

good now if we do not debate on the date fixed and venue. People

For those who were not present at G2G09 let me explain that I have
been assigned the task of organising the G2G11. and pls do understand
that a change of venue or a cahnge in date will not be possible at
this stage since elaborate discussions have been held before.Still if
a majority feel that there must be a change in venue and and the date
you all will have to excuse me from this responsibility and decide
afresh as to how to go about it.Therefore my sincere and earnest
request is that to accept the decision of the location and try your

In Kerala we used to say, if it is a boy, he will rush out 2 weeks
earlier and if it is a girl 2 weeks later! ( or the reverse!) So, you
both can safely come to Kumarakom for a day and go back to Mumbai well
in time to take care of your daughter and be with the new born on
same day of arrival! So you both should make it! Mumbai is only 4-5
hours from Kumarakom. Best wishes to you all ! tj

You are absolutely right- I am the same Velayudhan Nair.I am
eagerly waiting to see you all in the G2G11. Now I am voluntarily retired and
settled in Trivandrum.
Regarding my
professional life, after graduation, I joined FACT and worked for three years
there. Then I joined ISRO and was there for another six years. In 1977, I went
to Kuwait and was there till recently. There I worked with the Ministry of
Electricity and Water and later with ABB.
Regarding my family life, my wife is Geetha; and we have two
children ï؟½ one daughter and one son. Both are dental surgeons (daughter a
periodontist and son an orthodontist) and working in Trivandrum. Both of them
are married and we are having four grandchildren also. We are staying at
Elankom Gardens at Vellayambalam.
I couldnï؟½t find a recent family photo in my stock, and hence will
post the family photo later.

both of these are fixed I would like to get the numbers of attendees
and also to make some boating arrangements...so pls let us start
provisional registartion...no money needed.
I recommend those from TVM travel together so that it will be easier
to reach the venue and can go back immediately after the paripadis.

How can I forget you. We know each other from the school days, and we were living nearby during the school and college days. I met your brother Mr.Sukumar two times in between (Incidently he and my brother-in-law were working at the IG office), and I always appreciated his jokes and language style. Glad to hear from you after so many years.
