Friends..

as I watch devastation of Kathmandu n surroundings after the killer Quake

remember the few days I spent in Kathmandu n surroundings in 1969 March visited while commissioning a ...Boiler for Gandak Project...a joint venture of India n Nepal on River

Gandak.....

Beautiful country with ancient Architectural Structures...Himalayan Peaks..saw 29 of them from Nepal Airline Plane...for Nepalese Rs 200/-eqiv Indian 100/- then...Pasupatinath Temple on River Burdi Ganga Bank....Rituals like marriage n Cremation being held on adjacent pendals on the river banks....a French Photographer who was with me in the tourist Party when explained was really amazed....n started clicking numerous shots n had to reload many times his raw films....

Am really shocked....at the sight....

sure they may rebuild Kathmandu...but it wont be the same.....DUM MAARO DUM..of Devanand Fame....
