Here is another interesting link, which I forwarded to KT/JSC/MS. The
options look great and prices reasonable. It would be good to visit
this site and also Keralatourism dept's web site. I will make an
attempt to get more contacts of such tour operators and shall forward
to KT/to this site.

Indeed, I reiterate my request to Kochi core group to work on G2G9. As
Mani Samuel suggested, it will be great if Alex can be the coordinator
to start of the detailing. He can initiate work on this project along
with Jose Antony Kokkad. I hope Alex and our group would accept my
suggestion. Surely, TVM group and KTT can go into finer details as
time goes by.

As LDY may be of interest to only a fraction of the G2G9 participating
group, I also feel that after an initial list is prepared, exchange
the LDY communications amongst those interested and enlisted. That
will avoid unwanted email InBox crowding. Based on interests seen so
far, Mani & I get an impression that there will not more than 10
couples who would be seriously interested in that trip due to various
reasons. So let us restrict such email exchange within those members
serious about LDY rather than circulating to all 70 members. What is
your opinion?

The trip to Lakshadweep will be great and I would have been the first to jump at it. But I am not too sure that I will be excited about it this time ,thanks to the recession and the large expenses that I have to meet during my son's wedding in August this year.

A 5-day trip cost as indicated at the above site "lakshadeeppackage
tours" including cruise and water games, food, etc does not appear too
expensive when you compare with any similar trip to Sri Lanka,
Thailand or Malaysia. The flight costs are really prohibitive. The sea
mode should not cost much less. In deed, being a senior citizen, any
one could feel the pinch of expending big monies. I have asked the
tour operators to indicate the budget cost for 10 couples. Once we get
a reply you will be kept in the loop. TJ

  The idea  of a detour during G2G09  was suggested by  you  so that your  long trip becomes  more meaningful. Lakshwadweep  seems to be too  expensive. To  my  mind, Lakshwadweep   have overshadowed G2G09. Are  we having G2G09 in Nov or  at a later date ? We  have many beautiful  places  around Kochi where  one  can spend a few days .  We will  organise it once your  trip  is  confirmed for G2G09 .

 

   In  the meantime, initiative  from KT  is urgently  required .
