COMPUTE 2014 – 7th ACM INDIA Conference
Hosted by - Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VNIT, Nagpur
Organized by - ACM Nagpur Chapter
COMPUTE 2014 – 7th ACM INDIA conference will be organized by ACM Nagpur Chapter at VNIT, Nagpur during October 09-11, 2014.  Compute, is a peer reviewed conference series held in India under the aegis of ACM India. Every year it is hosted by one of the ACM Chapters in India.
It is widely recognized that Information Technology and applied research in Computer Science will play an increasingly vital role in business and industry. This is particularly true in the area of information management and knowledge services. There has been an explosive growth of digital content and handheld devices and vast networks of sensors have become ubiquitous. As a result of these developments, massive amounts of data and information are becoming available for numerical and symbolic processing and analysis. This information is a virtual goldmine for society, government and industry, but the task of extracting, analyzing and storing relevant information and making it available to the right user (or application) at the right time poses formidable technological challenges, many of which remain unsolved.  Also with the rapid growth in computing and communications technology, the past decade has witnessed a proliferation of powerful parallel and distributed systems and an ever-increasing demand for practice of high performance computing (HPC). HPC has moved into the mainstream of computing and has become a key technology in determining future research and development activities in many academic and industrial branches, especially when the solution of large and complex problems must cope with very tight timing schedules.  The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners and technology market movers in order to advance the state of the art and practice in computer science research as it applies to these technological challenges and to help bridge the digital divide. We invite submission from both researchers and practitioners in the broad area of contemporary information management.
