Two world music concerts this weekend: Middle East (March 29) and West Africa (March 30)

You are cordially invited to attend two free world music concert offerings this weekend in Convocation Hall, 8 pm both nights, sponsored by the Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology and the Department of Music:

Friday March 29, 8 PM, Convocation hall:  Music of Nubian, Sudan, and the Middle East, performed by the Middle Eastern and North African Music Ensemble with the Belediyya Dance Company.   

Saturday March 30, 8 PM, Convocation Hall:  Music and Dance of West Africa, with the West African Music Ensemble featuring special Ghanaian guest artists Mohammed Assau (Youth Home Cultural Group, Tamale, Ghana) and Prof. Habib Iddrisu (Univ. of Oregon School of Music and Dance).  

Both events are free and open to the public
