Jason from HKN is organizing a programming competition.  It sounds like a nice event to check out.

What?! You know math? You know programming? Eta Kappa Nu (HKN Computer and Electrical Honor Society) would like to invite you to compete in our very first programming competition. This year’s competition theme is data compression.

Prizes will be rewarded for teams that are placed 1st 2nd or 3rd!!!

Requirements:
Programmer at any level is encouraged to participate! however basic programming knowledge is required (Read and write to a local file). You will have to bring your own laptop to the competition! Any reference materials are allowed during the competition (Internet, text book, friends, professors, Bill Gates etc…)

Teams:
You can work alone or form a team that consists up to 3 members. However, team of 3 members will have to share the prize upon top 3rd ranking =(

Time / Registration:
The competition will occur Friday March 11th 5 PM – 11 PM in light engineering room 175 (IEEE laboratory). The winner will be announced by 12 AM the same day (1 hr after the competition). Registration is free of charge but the deadline is March 2nd at 10 PM. Please email pooja.p...@gmail.com to register.
