assets.agi.com terrain server end-of-life and transition to cesium.com

Back in March, we introduced Cesium World Terrain, the first of many major updates to our global terrain tileset hosted on the new Cesium ion platform.

To provide enough time for the community to transition to ion, we planned to keep the legacy assets.agi.com server up until September 1st and also provided a 6 month ion demo token for users to play with without creating an account.

After a one month delay, we will be shutting down the assets.agi.com terrain server on October 1st and the initial ion demo token will also expire.

We are happy to see that many in the community have proactively moved to ion, but if you are still using assets.agi.com for terrain or the ion demo token, please sign up for a free ion community account and generate your own token.
