FETFEST Launch - virtual festival of learning and development for FET Educators

#FETFEST kicks off today at 10am! 🎪

Kildare and Wicklow ETB are delighted to bring you #FETFEST – a week of free professional learning and development opportunities.

 

The free Professional Development (PD) events will be themed around the following areas:

●       Motivation Monday

●       TEL Tuesday

●       Wellbeing Wednesday

●       Transformation Thursday

●       Future FET Friday

This event is being hosted by KWETB’s PDTEL Team Ashley Stephens and I, in collaboration with our brilliant PDTEL colleagues in ETBs across the country. The line up is fantastic with some great international speakers. There is something for everyone ....

• Dr. Katie Novak, author of 8 published books, including the best-selling education book, UDL Now!
• George Couros, Innovative Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Consultant and speaker and the author of “The Innovator’s Mindset” and “Innovate Inside the Box”
• Transformations happen by “Trust , Thought and Task” Keynote by Mary-Jo Hoyne, International Project Consultant - Further & Higher Education
• "Seizing Success in the New Normal" keynote by Eric Sheninger, Associate Partner with the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE), author and speaker. 
• Sail the 7Cs with Microsoft EDU, authors and educators, Becky Keane and Kathi Kersznowski
• Sarah Slattery, the Travel Expert
• Joanne Hession, CEO and Founder of Lift Ireland will talk about development of leadership in Ireland  
• The ‘Happy Pear Twins’, Dave and Steve Flynn
• Dr. Fiona King will present on Communities of Practice 
• Mike Tholfson, Microsoft Education Product Manager, will present ‘What’s New in Microsoft EDU?’  
• Round table discussion with participants on NCIRL TEL programme facilitated by Dr. Leo Casey 
• Segments from national organisations, for example, CEO of Ahead Ireland, Dara Ryder, the Further Education Support Service and a presentation on the ETBI Digital library
