Dear Colleagues,

I am sharing details of an upcoming STEM Education Conference which may be of interest.

The theme and title of the conference is 'Integrated STEM for a Future-Ready Generation: Implementing Ireland’s new primary STEM curriculum through interdisciplinary learning and emerging technologies'.

This two-day conference offers a timely and substantive opportunity to examine primary-level STEM education across the full continuum from policy formulation to classroom enactment, with particular attention to its capacity to enrich and enhance teaching and learning. Situated within the context of Ireland’s recently introduced primary STEM curriculum, the conference foregrounds the transformative potential of integrated, interdisciplinary approaches to learning that foster creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving among learners.

Day one of the conference will focus on research relating to integrated STEM learning, aimed primarily at teacher educators, with day two focusing more on practitioner workshops, suitable for in-service teachers across all class levels.
When: 22 & 23 May 2026
Times: Day 1 runs from 09:30-17:30, Day 2 runs from 09:30-16:30
Where: TARA Building, MIC Limerick

More details and the link to registration can be accessed on the conference webpage.

Kind regards,
Michael Mc Namara
