Google 2FA

Hello,

Is there any way around 2FA for schools. We are a google workspace school and some students have set up their 2FA with their phone as the authentication device however we have a no phone policy in place so now they are unable to access their google accounts. Is there something the administrator can do to avoid this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michelle, 

I believe that they can download "Backup Codes" to use. 

They can download 10 eight-digit codes to use from the security tab on "manage your account". When these codes have run out they can reset it and download another 10.
