Dear All,

I am writing to remind you that the deadline for this year's National Annual Scratch Competition is fast approaching. The competition is a fantastic opportunity for your students to showcase their creativity and programming skills.

As you may know, the National Annual Scratch Competition is one of the largest coding competitions in Ireland, and it has been a tremendous success in previous years. This year's competition promises to be even bigger and better, with a chance to win fantastic prizes.

We at the Irish Computer Society (ICS) are pleased to announce that the in-person finals for the competition will take place at the University of Limerick on May 10th, 2023. The finals will be a great opportunity for students to meet like-minded individuals and showcase their projects to a wider audience.

The deadline for submissions is March 16th, 2023, so we encourage you to remind your students and give them the opportunity to participate. The competition is open to all students in Ireland, and we welcome entries from both primary and secondary schools as well as those attending after-school coding clubs such as Coderdojo.

To submit entries, students must have a Scratch account, and their projects will need to be uploaded by teachers and club mentors to the Scratch website by the deadline. Further information on how to submit entries can be found on the Scratch website here.

We would appreciate it if you could encourage your students to participate in the competition and help spread the word among your colleagues.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing your students' entries.

Best regards,

Joseph Kenny
