Hi all,

We have some exciting news for the ICT in Education Conference 2024!

The theme of this year’s Conference is “Creative Transformation”… AND

< Presenter Registration is officially open for both the Conference and the pre-Conference S.T.E.A.M. Evening >

ICT in Education Conference • 11th May 2024 • 09.30-16.00
The conference provides an opportunity for educators across all levels to connect and share. It has grown in popularity over the years and now attracts attendees from primary, secondary and third level as well as adult and community education. The conference is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in integrating technology into their teaching and learning to meet with others to learn and to share.
The #ictedu conference showcases workshops, panel discussions, case studies, Keynote and Capstone addresses to amplify effective methods teachers, lecturers and practitioners use to enhance the resonance and reach of their own best practice and to energise voices in creative classrooms and online activities. The event provides a place where enthusiastic educators can once again meet in person, building and sustaining relationships that span across three levels of education.

S.T.E.A.M. Evening • 10th May 2024 • 18.30-21.00
A pre-conference S.T.E.A.M. Evening (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Maths) takes place every year. The S.T.E.A.M. Evening is an informal event with a focus on practical skills predominantly in the Maker arena. Maker Education is a fun and engaging way for students to build the 21st century skills they need to succeed in an increasingly diverse workforce. These skills include critical thinking; creative problem-solving and collaboration as students ‘make’ with others – while developing the ability to prototype, fail and continue trying. Constructivist learning theories espoused by Jean Piaget and Seymour Papert are often referenced in Maker Education as Project-Based Learning is used to teach a wide variety of skills simultaneously in a single project.
