Hi everyone,

Representatives of CESI (Pat Seaver, Neill Butter and John Hegarty) have been involved in the development of a junior cycle short course on cyber security as part of a wider working group with DECC, NCSC, NCCA, Cyber Ireland and UCD. The draft specification and sample units of learning and lesson ideas are available @ www.cyberwise.ie

If any of your schools would like to be part of the phased implementation of this over the next two years, please email me for further details.

The development of this short course is being funded by DECC and UCD school of computer science and school of education and supported by CESI, NCSC, NCCA and Cyber Ireland.

I have also received funding under the Public Service Innovation fund for a nation cyber security competition for primary and post-primary students. Details are at the link below. There is an online form at this link to register your interest.

We will have two showcases about each of the projects a Feilte if you would like to chat us then.

Kind regards.

Rachel
