schools using iPads / tablets for teaching and learning

Hi, my name is Suzanne Heffernan and I am a B.Ed student in St.Angela's College, Sligo, in which I am studying secondary school teaching.

As part of my research for my final year dissertation I will be looking into the benefits of iPads / tablet computers in the classroom.

I would be grateful if you could help me out in my research. If anyone knows of any schools in the Republic of Ireland that use iPads / tablets for teaching could you please let me know.

It would be great if you would have a list of those schools, or even some schools, that teach with the aid of iPads / tablet computers so that  can focus my research on a selected amount of schools. Thank you very much for your time.

We have just implemented iPads for first year staff and 160 first years this year in Donabate Community College. Glad to help you out! You may also want to get into contact with the likes of Wriggle (who deploy the iPads for many schools) or some of the publishing companies (we are predominantly EDCO), they should have an interest in research such as this.
