Cleverboard IWB

Just a quick query regarding Cleverboard IWBs - a colleague of mine is
considering purchasing a number of these boards and was looking for
any input from teachers who have any knowledge/experience of the
boards at primary level.

Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rory,

Haven't see too many of these boards around ...but they do exist. Shaw
Scientific are one of the companies that sell them. Cleverboards are
supplied with Lynx software http://www.cleverlynx.com/ ...not sure how
active the development of this software is (although Sahara have signed up
with the 'common file format' group). Two primary schools (not in the West!)
I know of use this board with Promethean software (the latter can be
licensed via the Data Projector 'framework' purchase).

Hi Rory,

I di a lot of research on IWB and in the end went with Cleverboard. I
am a primary school teacher in West Cork. I have experience with
promethan and smartboard and I feel that Cleverboard beats both in
particular on Price and 30 year warranty (as opposed to the usual 5).
I used Promethan software with it as I was more familiar with it
compared to Lynx. The company I went with were excellent in terms of

Shane,

I may be wrong but my understanding is that it is only the board surface that has a 30 year warranty.

The electronic parts (that make it interactive) only come with 5 years warranty - the same as other manufacturers.

Perhaps somebody that sells Cleverboard out there can confirm this as I have asked this very question a number of times?
