Hello,

Struggling to find the answer. Is it possible to delete a recording a student placed on a team?

Kind regards,

Janet

Hi Janet,

Is it a recorded meeting or as a file? MS seem to have changed the saving of these meeting settings. We have come across the same issues this week this is what we have worked out.

There is a change in Teams recording. You won't be able to see the recording in Microsoft Stream or in OneDrive.
Meeting recordings will be available in the meeting chat for a period of 21 days after the meeting. After 21 days, the meeting recordings will no longer be available for download from the chat. Meetings recorded before August 20, 2020, will not be affected by this change and can be viewed in Stream.

Meeting participants will see something like the image below in the Teams channel or meeting chat shortly after a meeting ends. The recording after  the meeting.

To play back the meeting recording, meeting participants can download the file and play it back on their local device. To share or archive a recording, meeting participants can download the file and then upload it to Teams, Stream, SharePoint, or OneDrive.

Currently there is no option to delete a recording and I hope Microsoft will investigate it soon.

Eoin
