Hello folks. Have a serious problem with “missing responses” to a programme evaluation survey run using Google forms. Initially successfully tested the form and then ran it with 70 students. HOWEVER, only have 55 responses have recorded (in the Summary & spreadsheet views). Students do have the skill set to “submit”. Had a look at forums and while discussions are there on “missing responses”, no resolution that I could identify. This has serious implications for the reliability of using Google forms for school and/or research work. Would really appreciate any feedback/advice/information. Better still if I can get my responses back!! Thanks

Vivienne

Use forms a lost and have never come across this issue. I know you addressed it in your post but are you 100% certain the students hit the final 'submit' button??

Hi Vivienne,
Am using it this week also so will keep an eye on it. Just thinking would if the questions were not mandatory and
the respondents skipped questions would that cause the problem? Hetty

Hi Hetty and Con. Thanks for responses. Got me thinking: if the students were not able to submit because they had not completed a mandatory question and just logged off (did not hit submit), that might be worth considering.

But, the entire responses of about 15 people are missing (most of whom have good IT Skills). I like Google forms (ease of creating and use), just a little shy of them now but reassured to hear that work well generally. V
