Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced problems with files/flipcharts becoming corrupt when using Active Inspire software for the Promethean whiteboards. One of our Maths teachers work has become unreadable and the promethean helpdesk could not help, they just said it had become corrupt and to start again.
This has happened before and we changed her profile to allow her administrator privileges and that seemed to work for a while but now problem is back. We are running windows 7 and the latest version of Active Inspire.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Sarah-Jayne,

Were the flipcharts in question designed using ActivPrimary or ActivInspire?

Kind Regards,

Sarah-Jayne,

It sounds like a software corruption issue.

I recommend you copy your resources and flipcharts to an external hard drive.

Download the latest version of ActivInspire, version 1.6 (released last Friday). This has some exciting new maths tools.

When installed copy your resources back to their location.

If this does not sort out your issue, please contact me.

Kind Regards,

They definitely report as 'corrupt' if the user has insufficient
permissions. I'd also check the date on the computer and files. We had
a server crash recently and it reset its time, thus the entire
domain's time, to 2003 and teachers were unable to open some files.
