Hi all
It has come as a surprise to me that this week is Public Service Transformation Week. There are a number of events happening but there is one that is of relevance to ICT Coordinators
Newly Published AI Guidance for Schools
Department of Education and Youth
Time: 2pm-3pm Friday 14th
The publication of the Guidance on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Schools is designed to support teachers and school leaders in their planning for the potential use of AI in teaching and learning, and to ensure that, where AI is deployed, it is used safely, ethically and appropriately.
It highlights relevant factors and suitable resources to inform schools and teachers in planning for the possible use of AI in teaching and learning. In addition, it supports good decision making around AI tools and practice where they are being used by teachers in their planning and preparation, as well as in some aspects of teaching and learning. The Digital Policy for Schools Unit will provide an overview of the Guidance.

I recognised so many names at question time! Listened to it on my way home from school. Was a bit disappointed they didn’t say much about use in schools so far. Lots happening and glad they seem to want to stay on top of it. It's an exciting time to be in education!

A whole new genre of CPD, beep beep.

Maybe one of you all who were there would give us a brief summary at next Thursday's TeachMeet? Great list of names have already signed up, could do with a few more volunteer presenters 😉
