IDEAL Future Teacher Academy ( Close closing date)

We are inviting up to 50 Irish based teachers and school leaders to take part in the IDEAL Future Teacher Academy, a 9-month pilot future facing professional learning programme focused on developing leadership in human-centred approaches to digital education.

Through this collaborative experience, you will work alongside national and international teachers, school leaders, teacher educators, and digital education experts. Together, we will explore how digital education can be used to create meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable change in schools.

 

As part of the academy, participants will:

• Take part in individual consultations to identify their own learning pathway in digital educational leadership.
• Access guided courses and activities based on their professional interests and needs.
• Receive mentored support to plan and implement changes within their own school or educational context.
• Join an international community of practice, sharing ideas and experiences with peers across different systems.
• Work towards recognition as an EU-certified Digital Educational Leader.
• Have the chance to apply for international study visits (limited places available).

Thank you for sharing this — it sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

Before I submit an expression of interest, would you be able to clarify a few points?

• the expected time commitment across the 9 months (meetings, workshops, travel, etc.)

• whether participation requires any particular resources or school-wide commitments

• what form the school-based implementation project typically takes

• any selection criteria or priorities for participants

Once I have a clearer understanding of what’s involved, I’d love to explain our context here at Central Model Senior School and how this programme could support the work we’re doing.
