Dear colleagues,
We’re reaching out to invite your involvement in shaping the future of the SIGCSEire HCAI-ep annual conference (https://hcai-ep.sigcseire.acm.org/2025/). Whether you're a long-time member of the Irish computing education community or newly interested in contributing, we would greatly value your support.
We’ve created a short form to gather expressions of interest for a variety of roles associated with the HCAI-ep conference and the SIGCSEire community. You can access the form here:
We are currently inviting interest in the following areas:
  • Steering Committee Membership: Join the HCAI-ep steering committee, which meets 3–4 times per year to help guide the direction and planning of the conference.
  • Conference Role Opportunities: For HCAI-ep 2026 and beyond, we’re seeking individuals interested in roles such as:
    • Program Co-Chair
    • Short Paper Co-Chair
    • Poster Co-Chair
    • Local Committee Members
  • Hosting HCAI-ep 2026: We would be delighted to support institutions interested in hosting a future HCAI-ep event. The steering committee provides guidance and logistical support throughout the process.
  • Paper Reviewers for HCAI-ep 2025: Reviewing is a light but important commitment (typically 3–4 papers). It’s a great way to stay engaged with the research community.
You do not need to be a current member of SIGCSEire to express interest, but we encourage you to consider joining — membership is free and open to all: https://sigcseire.acm.org/membership/
If you're curious about any of these roles or would simply like to stay in the loop, please let us know via the form. We welcome expressions of interest at any level of involvement and experience.
Thank you for your ongoing support of computing education in Ireland. We look forward to working with many of you as we grow the HCAI-ep conference and strengthen our community.

Kind regards,

Keith Quille (On behalf of the SIGCSEire HCAI-ep Steering Committee)

I sometimes send emails outside of core working hours.
I'm also happy to receive them, but I certainly don't expect anyone to reply during those times.
