Afternoon Pat, UPS are much cheaper now than a few years back, but a standard system that will shutdown your server in an orderly fashion should do.
As you say something around the €200 mark will do the job

Subject: {Possible Spam} [CESI List] Are you still using a UPS for your server?

Hi all
Our UPS has died a slow death and needs replacing. But I'm wondering, given the cost of replacing a heavy-duty rack-mounted unit, and also how rarely power surges/cuts happen now, is it actually worth the investment? Maybe a basic standalone €200 unit would make more sense
Any thoughts welcome :)

Kind regards
Pat
