I would appreciate advice on where to look for best value for laptop trolleys. I wonder are any manufactured in Ireland?

I saw at company at BETT with a Green trolley called Smartline. The website is www.lapsafe.com and it is a UK company. John Gormely would love it for its green credentials!

Hi Gerard,

Last time I looked into this question, the 'Moby-Go' was the most cost
effective. Consider such factors as Wheels (bringing to different
classrooms), Security (can the unit doors be locked? can the unit be locked
to a wall?) Charging (is there 'intelligent charging' i.e. will charge up a
laptop and then cut off); some schools place a printer and/or projector on
top; some units (such as the Apple/Bretford) can come with a Wireless Base
Station (or Access Point) so that the Trolley is connected to a network
point in the classroom, and then the laptops communicate wirelessly.

There has been discussion on the Alt list in the UK recently about the
importance of having a device which avoids all laptops switching on to
recharge simultaneously and blowing the fuses! Also problems with wheels
that are insufficient quality on some trolleys, and lack of space/tangled
cabling on some models. I can go back through the posts and find the
information offered if needed.
