Gmail recurring auto response

Dear All

My query is not quite as interesting as the blood donation DNA!!!

Is there a way of setting up the out of office responder in Gmail for every day after 5 until 8 in the morning and every weekend??? I'd be especially eager that members of the student support team can enable this as increasingly emails are arriving out of hours and having an auto response with a link to the Student Support page on the website would be good! But having to enable and disable the vacation reminder daily is a bit of a pain!!

Hi Clare ,

I found a solution online last term which involved using a Google script. I set it up and it worked until one night I replied to an email and then every 10 minutes after that I kept getting an out of office reply from my own email, until I stopped the script, I will search for the link when I get home later on.

why not setup the OOO to always reply to every msg but in the body of the reply type : 

"thank you for your email  bla bla bla bla bla..... I will respond to your email During schools hours 9am - 4pm (or what ever hours you want )

If you're picking up emails on your phone then just ask it to STOP sending notification between certain hours.
