Classroom20.com is a social networking site hosted on the Ning platform for those interested in Web 2.0 and collaborative technologies in education. They also hold regular online meetings like the one mentioned below. I have to admit I'm not all that interested in the social networking end of things but some of the discussions are interesting.

Steve Hargadon http://www.stevehargadon.com/ is the guy who keeps it going and his blog makes for interesting reading too.

Give ning a chance: some nice functionality and good grading of
access.

Lots of Ning Networks
We are building up some useful educational ning networks at
http://sites.google.com/a/edubloggerdir.org/ning/Home
Some are quite general like Classroom2.0 and some quite specialised.

I'm a big fan on Ning and have used it both with teachers on an MEd
programme and to keep in touch with eTwinning people & activities in
other EU settings. It has the great advantage of being easy to learn
and very versatile in how it can be used. Well worth a bit of time in
the sand box.....!!!!!

Ning is cropping up all over: being used in exploration station and
for many conferences and webinars.
Has now added wiki functionality too. Well worth exploring.
