Hi all

I just wanted to pass on that Co. Carlow IPPN hosted their first Teachmeet this evening for principals and deputy principals. It wouldn't have happened without the idea from CESI who started doing Teachmeets/CESIMeets a few years ago. We had 6 volunteers who spoke on a variety of primary school related things from Maths for Fun to Twitter in the Classroom to Special Schools. None of the principals (bar one) had ever heard of a Teachmeet but at the end, they all spoke of that amazing buzzing feeling that we all know so well on this mailing list.

I guess I just wanted to encourage anyone on this list who hasn't been to a CESImeet to do your very best to get to one (or both) of the ones coming up over the coming weeks. Not only are they a great way to do CPD, they're great fun too!

Take care

Simon
