I have a school with 3 x faulty JC Vision Interactive Panels (all distorted sound). Does anybody know who is selling them (school does not know where they got them) or where they can be fixed?

They are only about 2 years old and the school said they are sure they came with 5 years warranty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Kindest regards

Thanks John. I don’t think they do them anymore.

Hi Joe, if this happened on the 3 boards at the same time then an update is most likely responsible, go to settings and uninstall updates, if not then a reset might do,  disconnect power lead and all computer connections, hold the power button for at least 30 seconds, reconnect power, computer and check again, a hard reset is also  possible through the settings menu on the interactive panel. If the audio is only distorted when a computer is connected, check HDMI or analogue cable if they are ok then uninstall and reinstall audio drivers on the computer and make sure the audio output is set to the interactive panel, but all this will depend on the setup, if ghe issue is not resolved give me a shout.

Thanks Val. That was my first thoughts too but unless I am wrong they all have that very distinctive “distorted speaker” sound. Like an issue with the speaker cone. My only concern is that “what are the chances of 3 speakers with the same issue?”  - and that was why I suspected software first. It is like the speaker is vibrating in the panel. The school NEVER does updates and they have had the 3 issues come separately over the past 6 – 12 months but never did anything about it. I doubt if the panel does automatic updates?

I started to update one of the panels to try it but it was still updating after about 45 mins. so I left it updating overnight.

ByTek used sell them but when I phone they told me they no longer do them. When  I contacted JC Vision themselves they referred me back to Bytek. The panels are working fine other than that.
