Resetting Lenovo X505X Tablets

Dear all,
I hope you had a nice weekend.
I have a bunch of tablets that are locked to old teacher accounts
that can't be tracked down.
I have done a factory reset and the tablet still searches for an
attached gmail account. Any ideas on how to get around this?

Hello Niall

Don't know if you got sorted. I had a similar problem with Lenovo TB-730 tablets. Using the hard reset cleared everything for me including the email address.

1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Press and hold the. Volume Up and Power buttons. until the Lenovo logo appears, then release the Power button.
3. Continue to hold the. Volume Up button. ...
4. From the Android Recovery screen, select. Wipe data/factory reset. ...
5. Select. Yes. ...
6. Select. Reboot system now
