Hi all

Now that we are in week 2 of EU Code Week, Julie and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has pinned an activity to the EU Code Week map.  We are delighted to have 380 activities already pinned to the map for Ireland!  There is still time to pin activities so we would love if you would continue to pin activities for the coming week any beyond ...  You can pin to the map at https://codeweek.eu/events. We know that classrooms are busy at the moment so if you haven't had a chance to plan any activities during Codeweek you can still pin coding and computational activities for next week or even after the Halloween break.

This year we had CSWeek during  the first week of CodeWeek and MathsWeek now running during the second week.  Any activities you ran for CS Week, across primary, secondary, further education and third level, can be added to the map.  With the crossover between maths and coding and computational thinking, many of the MathsWeek activities are also perfect CodeWeek activities so please consider pinning those also.  We have created a Scratch project using the pen blocks as a crossover Maths and Coding project for you to try.  The project draws a traingle, square, pentagon and hexagon and can be found at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/746968167.

Finally, our Scratch Challenge to wish EU Code Week a happy 10th birthday is still ongoing.  Thank you to everyone who has already added a project.  If you haven't yet added yours you can do so at https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/32152182.

As always if you have any queries please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Happy coding
Pam
