Googlegroups forums for Science

Over the past few years we have set up various different discussion googlegroups forums (fora?) for teachers teaching Junior Cert and Leaving Cert Science subjects (taking our original inspiration from John Hegarty who set up this one for CESI).

The General Science / Junior Cert Science forum has over 300 members but we also have forums for the following leaving cert subjects:

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

Applied Maths

If you're interested in any of these just let me know at
cunning...@gmail.com and I will add you to whichever group or groups you specify.

You don't have to be teaching the subject - feel free to lurk.

There is also a googlegroups forum for Project Maths and another for Music (which I reckon must be the busiest of the lot).

There may well be others?

The most common feedback I receive from teachers is an appreciation that they no longer feel they are teaching in isolation, so please spread the word where appropriate.

I forwarded this on to the Science teachers in my school. I'd like to be able to give the teachers in my school a list of all such groups and mailing lists. To this end I've made a shared editable spreadsheet that may be of use to others if we could crowdsource a list of any such groups we are involved in or know about at Primary, Secondary or at Third Level
