Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. We have a Kyocera 6007 ci printer/copier in our secretary's office. Since the day the schools' broadband was down, the school secretary and principal are unable to print from this machine. They are both networked to the printer. I had a look at how the printer is set up and it has a port assigned to it. The ip address looks fine.
I'm wondering if there are additional settings I need to change, as this machine has always had problems printing if our internet is down. Do these newer devices use ip v6 protocols to communicate? This printer has caused printing problems, occasionally, in the past, but the company who supplied the machine has always been able to get it back online. This time, however, they are adamant that it is a network problem, and are leaving it to us to fix. I've tried reinstalling the printer but this hasn't changed anything. In fact I may have added to the confusion, as there are four different drivers available for this particular printer with Windows 10; a classic post script driver ((KPDL Driver), an XPS Driver, a PCL5 Driver and a KX Universal PCL/Post Script Driver. I'm not sure which suits our setup best. We have a very basic, peer-to- peer network that is just used to supply internet around the school and, when it's working, to print to the network printer.
I'd appreciate any help or suggestions on how to sort this out, as the secretary and principal are at a loss without the printer.
Thanks,
John Magee.

Hi John,

I’ve had nothing but hassle this year regarding drivers and Kyocera photocopiers!- I keep needing to reinstall after the computers lose connections after updates.  My tech guy told me last Friday that the latest feature update -21H2- seems to be fixing many of the printers issues.  Not sure yet if this will be the answer, but no harm trying this as a first step.

Kind Regards
