Hi,

My name is Luke Saunders, I am a secondary Science teacher based at
Jesus & Mary Secondary School, Enniscrone, co. Sligo. I have built a
website www.studyclix.ie which I launched just last week in beta
version.

The site is aimed at secondary level students and teachers and is
entirely FREE. The plan is to host ads etc in the future. Studyclix
breaks up the main junior and leaving cert subjects into topics and
then for each topic there is all past exam questions with marking
schemes. I also have added the best learning resources (videos/links/
powerpoints) for each topic. The plan is that the site will become an
active community where teachers can easily share teaching resources
with each other that are relevant to the Irish secondary curriculum.

I have also built an exam builder where teachers can build their own
customised exams using past exam questions. No more copying and
glueing past questions together!

At this stage, I am really trying to get word out there about the
site and try to get teachers to start contributing links/videos to the
site. I attended the recent CESI conference in Portlaoise and I was
very impressed by the high numbers of teachers using technology in the
classroom. I would love if any CESI members could get back to me if
you have any feedback or ideas on how to improve studyclix
(lu...@studyclix.ie)

Also, it would be great if you could pass on the name of the site to
any of your students who might like to use the site to revise or study
for their upcoming exams.

Thanks a million.

Luke

My names Hellie I'm organising the northwest cesimeet that I see you've registered to attend.
I'm wondering if you'd like to do a short presentation about your website at the meet? I've had a look and it looks fab I'd love to help share it with others! And I think cesimeet is ideal for this!

You might get back to me if your interested

Hi Luke,

I notice that you have not included any of the language subjects that
we support - Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Russian. We have loads of
resources for these four languages (there are currently 1800 pages on
our website) as well as a lot of stuff related to foreign languages
education in general so you might like to include a link
www.languagesinitiative.ie You should also link to www.french.ie and
www.german.ie

Karen

Just wondering Luke, do you have any flier/poster that I could print off to publicize the site around the school? It would be handy for the classes I don't have personal contact with ......
Thanks,
Susan

Wow, this site looks brilliant. Not a secondary school teacher but this looks like a valuable resource. Congratulations and the best of luck with it.

Luke, my exam students are getting great use from your site as they
revise - thanks from them for this.
One of the best features is the link section leading them to the
really high quality videos you have chosen - thanks from me for this,
as I appreciate the huge amount of time it takes to find these.
Regards, Mags
