Dear all,

During March and April, TU Dublin's CSinc team will host in-person teacher CPD workshops in Drumcondra, Dublin West, Cork, and Galway. We assume no prior experience of teaching Computer Science at 2nd Level and the details of this beginner-friendly workshop are as follows:

Get Started with Computer Science in Your School
This workshop, hosted by TU Dublin's CSinc Research Centre, will provide a whistle-stop tour of everything you need to introduce Computer Science to TY students. From online resources, content overview and pedagogical approaches used by LCCS teachers, we'll guide you through the essentials in rolling out this subject in your secondary school!

We'll demonstrate some introductory hands-on coding activities, so that you can begin to build your own confidence as an educator. All attendees will gain access to a free online learning platform, CSLINC, which your students can also use throughout the year to explore Computer Science. Finally, attendees will be added to the CSinc teacher network, where they'll have further professional learning and networking opportunities.

If you and your colleagues would like to attend a local workshop, please select the relevant registration link below:

I sometimes send emails outside of core working hours.
I'm also happy to receive them, but I certainly don't expect anyone to reply during those times.
