CanSat/LCCS ALT2-Alt4 micro:bit CPD session

Hi all,

     We hope this finds you well. CS_INC is proud to announce a CPD session based around the micro:bit and analytics. This session is to support teachers who want to use the micro:bit for several areas:

 

• CanSat challenge
• Leaving Certificate Computer Science Applied Learning task 2 and/or 4

 

This CPD session will explore and provide (free) a software package that is used to collect data from the micro:bit and save it as a CSV file.

 

The team (ESERO and CS_INC ) developed the windows application and a micro:bit extension so the code is only two blocks in the micro:bit IDE and then you just open the software package! (See screenshots below)

 

This makes data collection accessible for all age groups and is perfect for using the micro:bit in the CanSat challenge or for the Leaving Certificate Computer Science course for ALT4 and ALT2.

 

Cillian O’Neill is leading the session for CS_INC and Roisin Faherty and I will be there to support!
