Schools Broadband Update - Resolved (hopefully)

Hi all,

firstly we’re reasonably confident that the issue that arose at approx. 10am this morning has been resolved earlier this afternoon.

The problem was initially resolved about 4.30pm, but we wanted to see some stability before providing this update.

This was an new issue that we had never seen before, and as such unfortunately it took a number of hours to resolve, and unfortunately this was during core school time.

We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that the network remains stable, and not re-occur.

 

Again please accept our apologies for the loss of this critical service.

What exactly is happening in primary schools? Our connection comes on and off through the day. Are other schools having this or maybe we have a different problem.

We have had daily issues of broadband regularly dropping since we were made to change from satellite broadband to the new service using the phone line.

We were very happy with our satellite broadband, had no issues and didn’t want to change!

We now have very frustrated staff who don’t have reliable broadband to complete tasks e.g OLCS, the rolllbook on Aladdin, not to mention teaching & learning,
