Hi all,
I hope you are all well! Brain Conway a PhD student in TU Dublin (and a member of CSinc) is completing a PhD study, that aims to develop a pedagogy for teaching Machine Learning and AI in a TY or LCCS classroom! This is very apt given the new draft LCCS
curriculum! Not only is it AI pedagogy and activities, but it is also all from a human centred angle and will result in a PRIMM esque model! What Brian is looking for is teachers to trail his pedagogy and associated activities!
What this involves?
-
Running 2 (+- 1) class sessions (TY or LCCS [5th or 6th year]) with your students
-
Giving the students a brief survey on the activity itself (after the class)
-
Taking a pre and post survey yourself
-
A focus group after all of the sessions
Brian has ethical approval from TU Dublin and we hope to run these from Jan to March (whenever it suits you and your class) 2026.

Kind regards,
Keith Quille
