This month, discover exciting new ways to fuel enthusiasm and creativity at your Code Club. Explore a range of new projects, find out more about creating projects all in one place with our Code Editor, and celebrate your creators’ achievements.

Project of the month: Dot the bug

To celebrate International Wildlife Day, try Dot the bug with your creators.

This beginner-friendly Python project guides your creators through drawing their own insect, and it is a great way to introduce graphics to your club. The project runs entirely in our Code Editor, with instructions and code side by side, helping young people stay focused, experiment confidently, and see their ideas come to life.

Unlock new opportunities

“Opportunity.” That’s how Sandra, a Code Club leader from Canada, describes Code Club in just one word.

Code Club is about opening doors and providing opportunities for all young creators, including learners who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities. For Sandra, who runs her club in a rural community where access to coding and digital skills can be more limited, that means helping creators to develop valuable new skills that support their learning.

Everything in one place with our Code Editor

Explore our exciting new ‘Python Bytes’ and ‘Python Wild’ projects, where creators can view the project instructions and write their code side by side in our Code Editor.

Working in one place helps learners focus, experiment, and build confidence. Try it with your creators and see the difference.

We’ll be selecting a few projects to spotlight on our social media to help celebrate creators’ out-of-this-world achievements 🚀

Make a short video of a creator saying:
“I coded a [tell us what you made] and sent it to the astronauts on the International Space Station.”

Post your video on social media and tag us @raspberrypifoundation with the hashtags #AstroPi #MissionZero so that we can celebrate with you!
