Hello from all of us at Trinity Access 21,
Are you interested in developing project-based learning in the classroom, or leadership skills in your school? Maybe you want to find new ways to teach digital skills to your students, whether you are teaching Junior Cert Coding or Leaving Cert Computer Science, or simply want to learn new ways of incorporating digital technology into any subject across the curriculum.
If any of these ideas have piqued your interest, we’d like to recommend reading on to find out more about the Postgraduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching and Learning at Trinity College Dublin. Or, perhaps you might know of a colleague or friend who might be interested.
We are now accepting applications for the 2019/20 academic year, with a closing date of 30th June 2019. The Cert will be subsidised again this year, so we can offer it at a significantly reduced rate of just under €500. The course is primarily aimed at post-primary teachers, but we have had educators teaching in upper primary, further education or informal learning who have gotten a lot out of the course.
Here is a link to our brochure, which describes the structure of the Cert, plus all of the different modules on offer.
More information and the application link can be found at this web page. Please feel free to share this information with any interested colleagues. If you have any questions about the Cert course or the applications process, please send your queries to the course administrator (pgcert21admin AT tcd.ie). In addition to those official sources of information there are quite a number of CESI list members who have done the course and I'm sure they'd be happy to share their experiences!
Kind regards,
Dr Jake Byrne
