Hot on the heels of the conference registration, news of the first in-person CESI TeachMeet since you-know-what stopped us in our tracks. The Open Café online TeachMeets have been a lifeline, and will still continue to provide an occasional catch up venue from home; but it is nice to think of meeting and greeting face to face again on the eve of the conference.
We first did this in 2009, in the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght, because our two-day conference was suddenly cut to Saturday only. It turned out to be a super occasion, and was repeated every year 'til 2020. The informal atmosphere of a hotel or school, the short presentations, the randomness, the social setting, all lend an air of lightness - and yet we were learning from each other.

So, thanks to a generous invitation from Limerick Educate Together Secondary School, the National Executive committee has decided to resume this eve-of-conference practice, on Friday February 27th @ 7pm.

For those who haven't been to a TeachMeet, especially a CESI one, here's the story - it's free to attend but you need to register; presentations are from among the attendees who have volunteered in advance (thank you!!); presentations are short ('nanopresentations' - 2min or 7min) order is random; conversation is encouraged; there will be refreshments, surprises, and maybe even prizes.

Teachers, teacher-trainers, student-teachers of all subjects, levels and sectors are welcome to attend, and to offer to present their story - slides are accepted but not necessary. (You do NOT have to be attending the Conference on Saturday)
