Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the call for participation for the 16th International Conference on Game-Based Learning (iGBL 2026) is now open.
Event Details:
Date: 26th June 2026
Format: Live online conference (via Zoom)
We invite developers, doctoral students, instructors, practitioners, and researchers to submit abstracts for presentations, workshops, or game demonstrations focusing on themes related to games for learning, motivation, and change.
If you have designed, implemented, or researched digital or non-digital games to support learning, motivation, or behavioural change and would like to share your work with a community of like-minded professionals, we warmly encourage you to submit a proposal to iGBL 2026.
Submissions from early-career researchers and PhD students are particularly welcome, including work in progress.
The conference aims to provide a supportive and collegial environment for discussion and feedback, with an emphasis on interaction rather than purely formal presentations. Presenters will have opportunities to receive constructive feedback from session chairs and peers.
The conference will be held as a live online event, with all presentations and workshops delivered synchronously via Zoom, allowing for real-time engagement, questions, and discussion.
Please submit your abstract by 20th March 2026.
Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by 17th April 2026
Further details, including submission guidelines, themes, and registration information, are available at:

We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
